Join our Tampa, Florida logistics team as an Order Picker! This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with precision and speed. You will be responsible for efficiently locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment within our warehouse. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment are essential. You'll be working in a dynamic distribution center, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using provided order documentation or scanning technology.
- Verify the quantity and type of product picked against order details.
- Package selected items securely and appropriately for transit to prevent damage.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all necessary labels and documentation are attached.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management activities, such as cycle counting and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Perform tasks involving consistent lifting and physical exertion throughout the shift.
- Uphold all safety standards relevant to logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an order picking or warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret order sheets and identify products accurately.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Skilled in tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
