About
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage operations at our Nashville, Tennessee facility. This leadership role is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics department, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Your responsibilities will include scheduling staff, managing inventory levels, optimizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. You will be the point person for coordinating with carriers, managing warehouse equipment, and resolving operational issues as they arise. Maintaining a safe working environment through regular safety audits and ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all staff is paramount. This role may involve some physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, a solid understanding of logistics operations, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize workflow.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits.
- Coordinate with transportation providers and manage carrier relationships.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- Contribute to the overall logistics strategy and efficiency of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse environments.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work atmosphere.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
