We are seeking a meticulous Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Durham, North Carolina facility. This role is crucial for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. You will be responsible for verifying incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining precise inventory records. As a key member of our Logistics team, your attention to detail and commitment to Safety will be highly valued. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a thriving business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight.
- Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE .
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is strongly preferred. Must be capable of regular Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong dedication to workplace safety is paramount. Good communication and teamwork skills.
