About
The Production Line Associate is responsible for helping meet daily production goals efficiently and safely by following all requirements and SOPs. The successful candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment, self-motivation, and a desire to share and learn new skills.
Standard hours will be 8:00am- 4:30pm - Full Time
Competencies and Experience
- Ability to uphold safety standard, participate in continuous improvement on the job and follow all manufacturing best practices.
- Detail oriented, energetic, positive, and self-directed.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Accurate and legible handwriting.
- Always present a cordial respectful and helpful tone to all customers and employees.
- Ability to keep multiple areas organized and have an acute attention to detail.
- Reliable with the ability to work independently.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced constantly evolving environment with focused attention to detail.
- Experience working in manufacturing, preferably in the Food Industry.
Essential duties and responsibilities.
- Compliance with Sugarman of Vermont Safety, Food Safety and Quality systems.
- Operate packaging lines and, or support roles to meet production schedule.
- Monitors that packaging is compliant with product specification.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation throughout production runs.
- Document when cleaning SOPs are complete.
- Tear down and set up production lines.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Provide coverage if needed to support team members.
- Consistently follow policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support a positive work environment.
- Other activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in changing temperatures.
- Ability to constantly lift lbs) bend, stretch and stand during the entire shift, frequently kneel squat, stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
- Visual ability to discern quality and cleanliness.
- Ability to follow safety and food safety requirements.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to get to and from work.
- Maintain and follow Good "GMPS", Food safety, HACCP, and FDA requirements
This position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.
