Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook & BBQ Expert to join our culinary team. This role requires a passion for high-quality food preparation, expertise in barbecue cooking techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Line Cook & BBQ Expert will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items while maintaining consistency, flavor, and presentation standards. Strong Flat-Top Grill experience a must

Duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and guest specifications.
  • Operate and manage grills, smokers, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Specialize in barbecue preparation, including smoking, grilling, roasting, and carving meats.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line, prep areas, and equipment throughout service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Assist in inventory control by properly storing food, labeling items, and minimizing waste.
  • Uphold high standards of flavor, consistency, and presentation to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience.

Skills

  • Previous experience as a line cook or grill cook required; BBQ expertise strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of barbecue techniques (smoking woods, rubs, sauces, low-and-slow cooking methods).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment operation.
  • Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
