Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods as needed.
• Engage actively in upselling products to boost sales while delivering excellent customer service.
• Follow all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a busy café setting.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in serving or retail environments that require multitasking and quick thinking.
• Basic understanding of the food industry standards for cleanliness and safety.
