Senior Oracle APEX Developer

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle APEX Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system design, solution architecture, and application development within Oracle environments. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications leveraging Oracle APEX, with a focus on delivering scalable, secure, and efficient solutions aligned with modern service-oriented architecture principles. The Senior Oracle APEX Developer will collaborate across teams to implement innovative features, optimize system performance, and ensure robust security measures across cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Oracle APEX applications that meet business requirements.
• Integrate applications with various data sources including SQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Develop and maintain system architecture solutions utilizing cloud security, load balancing, and system hardening best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement microservices, web services, and APIs using technologies such as SOAP, REST, and JavaScript.
• Optimize application performance through effective use of ETL processes, caching strategies, and infrastructure tuning involving AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, manage threat intelligence, and implement security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and system hardening techniques.
• Support continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and DevOps practices to streamline deployment cycles.
• Participate in system architecture planning for large-scale projects involving virtualization (VMware, ESXi), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and system management tools such as GPO, DHCP, DNS.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers on best practices in coding standards, debugging, and system design principles.

Experience

• Extensive experience in developing enterprise applications using Oracle APEX within complex IT environments.
• Proven expertise in integrating diverse systems including Salesforce, Pegasystems, and other CRM or ERP platforms.
• Strong background in programming languages such as PL/SQL, Java, Python, C#, and scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) focusing on security, system administration, and virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi).
• Familiarity with modern development methodologies including Agile, SDLC frameworks, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of network security protocols such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls; understanding of system hardening for compliance standards.
• Experience working with databases like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server; proficiency in SQL tuning and database management.
• Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (React Express), XML, Web services, API development.
