This part-time, hourly position will be held in our main office, located in Phoenix, AZ. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Role Overview
The Part-Time IT Specialist plays a key role in supporting MyLand's growing technology ecosystem. This position ensures employees have the tools, systems, and secure infrastructure they need to do their best work. You will handle day-to-day technical support, device management, onboarding/offboarding, and contribute to ongoing improvements in IT operations.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, resourceful technologist who enjoys solving problems, streamlining processes, and supporting a mission-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide timely Tier 1–2 support for hardware, software, and network issues
Lead diagnosis and remediation of recurring IT issues
Systems & Device Management
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security controls across core systems (FortiNet, Microsoft Azure, Entra, 365, Adobe Creative Cloud)
Set up, configure, and maintain company laptops and mobile devices
Monitor system health and perform routine maintenance tasks
Onboarding & Offboarding
Prepare devices, accounts, and access for new team members
Securely deprovision accounts and devices during offboarding
Security & Compliance
Support implementation of security best practices, including MFA, password standards, and device compliance
Assist with software updates, documentation, and policy updates
Monitor for risks and escalate when necessary
Process Improvement
Contribute to IT documentation and internal knowledge base
Recommend improvements to workflows, automation, and system configuration
Support IT projects aligned with company growth and operational excellence
Physical Demands:
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb, and sit for extended periods throughout shift. Other physical demands include reaching overhead and below shoulder level and bending at the knees frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as it relates to the job duties
Ability to work in varied weather conditions both indoors and outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, viewing a computer screen, microscope, and extensive reading
Exposure to chemicals typically used to culture algae

Qualifications
Required
2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration
Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS and Windows
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Strong communication and customer-service mindset
Preferred
Experience with SSO/Identity systems
Exposure to network fundamentals (VPN, firewalls, WiFi management)
Previous experience in startup or field-operations environments
