Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator is working with external customers and carriers routing orders and maintaining shipments.

Essential Job Functions

  • Breaking down orders into FTL, data entry, routing orders, ASN knowledge, and generating paperwork for shippers using Sage, Outlook and Excel
  • Working with external customers, suppliers and carriers to ensure accurate processing of shipments and scheduling loads and workflow for the warehouse department.
  • Document and process all requests for pickups and deliveries for customers.
  • Maintain daily entry of shipments and customer order status in SAGE and Excel.
  • Provide customers with timely status updates of shipments and proof of delivery in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain daily contact with vendors to ensure on time delivery of customer freight.
  • Document, investigate, and report shipment delays and other issues to Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintain metric reports as required by management and or customers.
  • Continuously increase knowledge of standard operating procedures, products and services.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment ensure all GMP's are followed, including proper use of PPE
  • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, arriving on time and ready to work each day.
  • Demonstrates clear and professional communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Effectively manages time, tasks, and priorities to meet deadlines and support team goals.
  • Produces accurate, thorough, and high-quality work in alignment with company standards.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations while upholding company values and standards.
  • Participates in training when needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in logistics including truckload, LTL and parcel.
  • Demonstrated experience using software systems such as SAGE and Microsoft365 for freight arrangement and order management.
  • Ability to maintain proper phone and email etiquette, demonstrate patience and empathy
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a very high pace environment, multi-task, and be highly organized.
  • Ability to adapt to change

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
