Warehouse Business Hours: The warehouse is open days Mon to Fri, with some nights and weekends based on deliveries and business needs.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Warehouse Associate (Customer Freight Station) to join our Columbus, Ohio operations team. This role is essential in ensuring that import and export freight is handled accurately and in compliance with customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Works closely with Operations team ensure all customer requirements are clearly understood and met
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, trucking companies, ground handlers, airlines
Ensure all regulations and requirements are met with respect to import / export paperwork, TSA, DG, and other compliance standards
Understand and accurately process all import / export paperwork
Assist with claims processes related to damaged or missing freight
Unload & load airline units, ocean containers, and trailers
Sort and segregate freight according to plans and client specifications (e.g., awb, PO#, Order number, etc.)
Palletize and shrink-wrap freight according to client instructions.
Operate a forklift and powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently
Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track and process freight
Lift, carry, and stack cartons and boxes up to 50 pounds as required
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or freight forwarding environment preferred
Ability to operate a forklift (certification a plus)
Understanding of international shipping documentation and processes
Familiarity with TSA and Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Outstanding work ethic
Must be able to multi-task effectively, to meet a variety of on-going deadlines and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrates willingness and energy to go above and beyond in existing responsibilities.
High degree of accountability for results and self-performance
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate must be able to:
Lift, carry and move boxes up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift
Frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, push, pull, and twist
Climb in and out of trailers, step ladders, or platforms as needed
Perform repetitive motions with hands and arms (e.g. scanning, lifting, wrapping pallets)
Maintain balance and coordination while carrying loads or operating equipment
Work in environments that may be hot, cold, or noisy depending on the season or warehouse area
Wear required PPE (e.g. gloves, safety vest, steel-toe boots, etc.) as provided or required
