About
Our expanding logistics operations in Columbus, Ohio, are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. We seek an experienced, safety-conscious individual with a proven track record of operating various types of forklifts. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position requires focus, precision, and the ability to manage tasks involving significant Lifting and the movement of heavy items within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to designated areas.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial awareness.
- Experience with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
