We are seeking a diligent and experienced Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is vital to our supply chain operations, ensuring that materials are moved, sorted, and stored efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Your primary focus will be on the safe and timely transportation of materials between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping departments. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment. Maintaining accurate inventory records through proper handling and scanning of materials is also a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following all safety regulations.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
