Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Put away and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed to support overall logistics.
- Keep accurate records of material movement and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
