Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator? Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for an experienced professional to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will manage the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transporting inventory to designated storage areas, and assisting with stock management. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This position involves frequent, heavy Lifting and requires precision and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trailers and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all company Safety rules and operational procedures.
- Ensure consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Demonstrated ability to handle significant Lifting and material movement tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Experience with logistics software is a plus.
