About
Our Columbus, Ohio facility is looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team! In this role, you will be essential to our fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are picked accurately and packed securely for shipment. You will navigate the warehouse using pick lists, locate the correct items, and prepare them for dispatch. A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of urgency are crucial for success. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all team members are required to follow safety protocols and utilize provided PPE . This position involves standing, walking, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Understanding basic warehouse logistics is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips.
- Verify picked items for accuracy against order requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your workstation and assigned areas.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and best practices.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counting.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics and fulfillment operations.
- Demonstrate proper lifting techniques and safe material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product codes.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods, and perform lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse procedures.
- Strict adherence to all safety standards and proper use of PPE .
