We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a key player in our supply chain, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient and accurate movement of goods through our facility. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the seamless flow of products from receipt to dispatch. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required and provided).
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage, cycle counting, and system updates.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and organization.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company-provided PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
