We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical for the efficient movement of materials within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, experienced with various types of forklifts, and dedicated to maintaining a productive and secure work environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with picking, packing, and staging orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and exits are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours if needed.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vest.
