We are seeking a motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be a vital part of our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from our facility to our customers. This role involves a variety of tasks, all aimed at maintaining the smooth functioning of our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately and on time. Attention to detail is crucial in this position to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various equipment and technology to manage inventory and fulfill orders. Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential for achieving daily targets and maintaining a safe working environment. We are committed to fostering a culture of safety, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understanding safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Accurately pick orders based on customer requirements using RF scanners or other designated tools.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Commitment to safety and following instructions.
