Join our dedicated logistics team as a Material Handler in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! We are looking for a hardworking individual to ensure the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, storing, and distributing various products, utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks. This role is physically demanding, requiring significant standing, walking, bending, and the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures. Your efforts are vital to maintaining a productive and secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials across the warehouse floor using appropriate equipment.
- Support inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Ensure the work area remains clean, orderly, and safe.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company protocols.
- Wear required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Must be comfortable with lifting and moving materials throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a significant advantage.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and hand trucks effectively.
- Physical stamina and capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety principles.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- Willingness to adhere to all PPE and safety requirements.
