About
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trailers, moving materials to and from production areas, and accurately stocking inventory. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and operations.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to perform consistent lifting and other physical tasks as required.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety in all aspects of the job.
