Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Technician to join our advanced facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is critical for the maintenance and smooth operation of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, ensuring optimal logistics and efficiency. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting repairs on a variety of warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, automated sorting equipment, and forklifts. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be essential in preventing downtime and ensuring the safety of our operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a technical team. Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Install new equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Operate various tools and testing equipment safely.
  • Respond to urgent repair requests to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Support overall logistics operations by ensuring equipment reliability.
  • May involve occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and experience with PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and occasionally lift heavy items.
