You will be responsible for training new hires on procedures and the correct use of equipment and PPE . While direct lifting may be less frequent, you must be capable of assisting your team when needed and understanding the physical demands of the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient execution of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse workflow and space utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and proper use of PPE .
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet operational demands.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics .
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to understand and oversee tasks involving physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
