We are seeking highly skilled DevOps Engineers for a contract position (C2C) to support our enterprise-level software solutions. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and system deployment, working within Agile environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure IT infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms and on-premises environments. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects involving microservices, containerization, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
*Your responsibilities will include:*
* Managing the complete software lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance for enterprise-level systems * Working with Azure DevOps and GitHub to manage code repositories and automate workflows using GitHub Actions * Writing and maintaining build and deployment scripts using PowerShell, Terraform, and object-oriented programming languages * Building and managing automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment * Handling deployment strategies like canary deployments, blue-green deployments, and managing failed deployments * Working with Docker and Kubernetes to package and deploy containerized applications in both development and production environments * Designing and managing system architectures for cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures * Creating technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and process flows * Implementing GitOps pipelines using tools like Argo CD and Helm for Kubernetes deployments * Troubleshooting pipeline issues and improving deployment efficiency
*To be successful in this role, you'll need:*
*Required Experience:*
* At least 4 years as a DevOps Engineer working on large enterprise systems * At least 2 years each with Azure DevOps and GitHub, including GitHub Actions administration * At least 4 years writing automation scripts, including 2 years with PowerShell, 2 years with Terraform, and 1 year with object-oriented programming * At least 4 years maintaining automated test suites and CI/CD processes with tools like GitHub Actions * At least 4 years with Docker and Kubernetes, including container deployment and microservices management * At least 4 years designing and managing system architectures and cloud infrastructures * xmvmafu At least 4 years creating technical documentation and SDLC deliverables * At least 4 years implementing GitOps pipelines with Kubernetes using Argo CD or Helm * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
*Preferred Experience:*
* Master's degree in Business Administration, IT, or Engineering * 6 years or more in any of the above areas * 2 years building AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform and networking services * 2 years with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack * 2 years managing serverless architectures in AWS * 2 years working with cloud security tools like Cognito, Azure AD, OAuth 2.0, and SAML
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $75.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sacramento, CA
