Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists with the various dispensing functions of the pharmacy department. The technician will process and fill daily patient prescriptions, order and receive stock, maintain an appropriate level of inventory, and administrative tasks as assigned. Technicians must complete a competency in preparing IV medications. This is a per diem position.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician in California.

2. Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail.

3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

4. Familiarity with using a computer database.

5. Maturity, reliability, and emotional stability.

6. Ability to work in an occasionally fast-paced environment and maintain effective working relations with colleagues and other hospital staff.

Wages are based on prior related experience.
