Delivery Driver/helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver/Helper to join our team. This role involves delivering products safely and efficiently to various locations, assisting with loading and unloading, and providing excellent service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and possess a strong work ethic to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles, including manual transmission models, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of heavy items
• Deliver products to customers across designated routes, maintaining accurate delivery schedules
• Assist with moving items within warehouses or client locations as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and addressing customer inquiries professionally
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle before each shift and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs throughout the shift
• Follow route driving plans efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring safety

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in box trucks or similar vehicles
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and heavy lifting techniques
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as moving heavy loads and performing manual labor safely
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules or routes
• Prior experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred
• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $200.00 per day
