On this team, you will apply your knowledge of software development to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing enterprise class software application. Working within a highly successful product development team within an agile, iterative process, you will support, debug, and provide solutions, engage in programs and initiatives to analyze the root cause of issues and recommend and evolve suitable solution approaches to address the challenges in time-sensitive fashion.
This role is for you if you love solving enterprise grade cloud services problems. You must be firm believer of solving sophisticated problems by writing code. We have product code in all possible layers of complex multi-tier distributed environment.
Responsibilities
What You'll Bring:
To be considered for a Java Software Engineer Intern position in Oracle Health and Analytics, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume, application questions, and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. For clarity purposes, this means that Oracle is not in a position now, or in the future, to offer US immigration sponsorship. This includes, but is not limited to, support of H-1B, TN, O-1, green card or F-1 e.g. EAD, OPT, CPT, I-20, F-1 visa stamp, etc.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related science/engineering field during the school year AND returning to the program after completion of the internship.
- Are proficient and can demonstrate skills (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in Java
Are proficient in at least one of these additional programming languages:
JavaScript
- Python
- SQL
HTML/CSS
Have the ability to implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures in very complex systems with the highest quality.
Demonstrated experience (projects, internships, coursework, research) with three or more of the following areas:
Object Oriented Design
- Microservices
- Container Architecture (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Machine Learning/AI
- Operating Systems
- Cloud Computing
- Multithreading
- Distributed Systems
- Database
- Web Development
- Web Services
User Interface Design
Completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant areas noted above.
- Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
- Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
