Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of- the-art technologies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with experience in software design and development to work in a fast-paced RF laboratory designing, developing, and testing custom RF embedded solutions.

The selected Embedded Software Engineer will have responsibility for the following areas:

  • Design software, scripts, and applications for embedded systems.
  • Work with other software engineers to coordinate efforts and meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, automation, and electrical engineers to design, build, debug, and test custom hardware and software systems.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide training and support.
  • Work independently to form comprehensive solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Communicate software designs and best practices coherently.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field with at least ten years' experience.
  • Experience with C/C++ and interfacing with low-level hardware interfaces and register space.
  • Experience with Python, Matlab, or LabVIEW as an engineering tool.
  • Experience with Yocto, bitbake, or linux driver development is a plus.
  • Experience with electronics hardware and use of interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS232, ect. is a plus.
CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
