Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment across manufacturing and residential settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, welding, and electrical systems. Leadership qualities and customer service skills are a plus, as this position may involve supervising team members and interacting with clients. The Maintenance Person plays a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and the upkeep of our properties.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and residential properties
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software
- Conduct welding repairs and perform electrical work in compliance with safety standards
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for repairs and installations
- Lead small maintenance projects or supervise other maintenance staff when required
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using CMMS or other documentation tools
- Assist with customer service requests related to residential or commercial maintenance needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or residential painting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and operate diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and wiring repairs
- Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred
- Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee maintenance teams or projects
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals accurately
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is desirable
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance
