Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Summary  

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Greenshades. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of our cloud and on-prem infrastructure supporting all of Greenshades customer-facing products.  

Responsibilities  

• Oversee the organization, security, maintenance, and optimization of infrastructure supporting all Greenshades products, ensuring high availability and peak performance. 
• Drive the implementation and refinement of tooling and automation solutions to expedite issue resolution and proactively prevent incidents when feasible. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and engineering teams to shape hosting strategies that enhance existing products/processes and facilitate the integration of new technologies. 
• Work closely with DevOps team to ensure seamless operation and swift performance of our technology stack, encompassing hosted websites, services, and all internal/client-facing products. 
• Monitor and promptly respond to emerging infrastructure challenges in real-time, both during regular work hours and as part of a rotating on-call schedule. 
• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications 

• 5+ years technical experience in Windows system administration, network engineering and automation scripting 
• 5+ years experience running cloud services, preferably Azure 
• 3+ years hand-on experience in Powershell/Python 
• 3+ years experience with CI/CD technologies such as Azure Devops and/or Octopus Deploy. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably AKS. 
• SQL Server and/or Azure Database management experience. 
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring/alerting solution. 
• Experience Supervising other Team Members 
• Familiarity with IAC tools such as Terraform/Bicep
