Full-Stack Software Engineer (Data Pipeline Focus)
on a 6-person development team, you'll support a mature and well-integrated software platform that aggregates and analyzes publicly available information (PAI) for hundreds of mission users. You'll work across the stack—from backend data processing and transformation to front-end visualization—ensuring seamless data integrity and performance. This long-standing program is known for its technical stability, strong collaboration, and measurable mission impact.

Schedule and Work Details

  • Location: NBP
  • Telework: Not specified (onsite expected)
  • Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Day shift
  • Level of Effort: 1 FTE
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (required)

Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

  • Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of a large-scale, data-driven software system
  • Implement backend services and data workflows supporting ingestion, transformation, and storage of diverse datasets
  • Ensure system scalability, maintainability, and performance through effective development and testing practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional sub-teams to ensure end-to-end dataflow integrity
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation efforts
  • Support analysts by ensuring smooth delivery of data to front-end visualizations and tools
  • Stay engaged in a fast-paced team focused on continuous improvement and reliability

Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.)
  • No prior experience required (0+ years), though technical internships or project work is preferred
  • Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree

Required Skills

  • Software development experience with Java
  • Interest in data processing and transformation (JSON wrangling, validation, enrichment)
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and Maven for build automation
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and workflows

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Apache NiFi or similar dataflow tools
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Dgraph)
  • Knowledge of the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security)
  • Scripting experience with Python, Groovy, or Bash
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated testing (JUnit)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CNO environments or mission operations

Compensation Range: $89, $117,000.00

  • The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility
