Lead Control Systems Engineer

About

Works directly with customers to define functional requirements and design control panels, configure, commission and qualify control systems hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of engineers and technicians to provide control system hardware solutions
  • Work in team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing
  • Design and develop electrical control panels for industrial automation systems.
  • Create detailed control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM) using CAD tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control panel design with PLCs, HMIs, and other system components
  • Develop Life Cycle documents and Control Architecture per industry standards
  • Redline P&ID documentation
  • Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems panels
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Develop engineering standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of project execution
  • Provide technical sales support to RoviSys business development team

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in automation or related field
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform technical and managerial responsibilities
  • Proven experience in electrical control panel design for industrial or manufacturing applications.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems
  • Ability to guild a project with little supervision and guidance
  • Thorough understanding of control system design
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
  • Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms

Desired Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical or Engineering Technology
  • Electrical design fundamentals a must
  • Experience with: Microsoft Windows, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV
  • Process Control Fundamentals
  • Awareness of process safety
