About
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to fulfill orders and manage stock. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize safety above all else and require all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including overtime, as needed.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory.
