As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, storing, and organizing materials and products, utilizing various equipment to ensure smooth operations. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, stocking inventory, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. You will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to perform consistent lifting and operate material handling machinery safely. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory.
- Prepare materials and products for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and documentation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operating certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
