About
Operate a forklift and perform various warehouse duties as a Forklift Operator in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position is vital for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is required. This is a physically demanding role within our busy logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of cargo.
- Put away and retrieve stock from designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Operate other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed boots and high-visibility clothing.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
