We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to multitask and manage time effectively is essential. - Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and store inventory appropriately within the warehouse.
- Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements and work orders.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring all materials are protected.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, after proper training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve logistics processes.
Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. A commitment to safety is paramount. Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial. Must be at least 18 years of age.
