Join our bustling warehouse operation in New York City, New York, as a Warehouse Associate. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods through our distribution hub. You will be involved in a variety of essential warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Stock inventory in designated areas, utilizing proper rotation methods (e.g., FIFO).
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specific instructions.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and required documentation.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, exercising care in handling merchandise.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the correct use and maintenance of all required PPE .
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets and ensure efficient workflow.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding and adherence to workplace Safety regulations and the use of PPE .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban environment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and occasional overtime is required.
- A proactive attitude towards supporting Logistics tasks.
