About
Provo, Utah's premier logistics company is looking for certified Forklift Operators to join our growing team! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is handled properly and operations run smoothly. You will operate various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to perform pre-operational checks on your equipment, maintain an organized work area, and adhere strictly to all safety regulations. Proper use of PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and care.
- Safely transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and material handling.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
