Senior Business Intelligence Developer (Oracle APEX)
*Location:* Springfield, VA (Metro Accessible) *Work Type:* Remote with some in office work *Clearance:* U.S. Citizen; must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced *Senior Business Intelligence Developer* with strong *Oracle APEX* expertise to support a Federal client in Springfield, VA. This role blends BI development, APEX application support, data integration, and business process improvement within a complex federal financial environment.
The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and business insight—someone who can analyze issues, interpret user needs, and design solutions that simplify workflows and enhance decision-making. Experience with *OBIEE, OBIA, ODI*, and mapping *Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)* data into *OBAW/TFDW* environments is highly valued.

Core Responsibilities Business Process Review & Improvement
* Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements using BI tools, Oracle APEX, automation, and approved technologies.
Requirements & Functional Analysis
* Collaborate with users to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
BI & Data Warehouse Support
* Enhance data warehouse models, structures, and data dictionaries. * Support daily operations for OBIEE, OBIA, and ODI environments. * Validate data accuracy, reports, and system changes.
Oracle APEX Development
* Develop and enhance APEX applications, interfaces, backend logic, and integrations. * Support the full application lifecycle, including maintenance and enhancements.
Testing & Quality Assurance
* Conduct functional testing, validate results, and ensure compliance with BI and DW standards.
User Support & Maintenance
* Provide ongoing user support, troubleshoot issues, and guide users through reports, data, and workflows.
Key Qualifications
* Strong Oracle APEX development skills (front-end and back-end). * Experience with automation tools and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). * Solid background in business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics. * Experience with OBIEE, OBIA, ODI, and related DW/BI tools. * Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. * Understanding of federal financial systems and accounting processes. * Experience mapping Oracle EBS data into OBAW/TFDW. * Proven ability to maintain and enhance APEX applications, forms, interfaces, and reports.
Minimum Baseline Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field. * 5+ years of federal financial systems experience. * 5+ years developing BI reports, dashboards, and ad hoc queries. * 5+ years of Oracle OBIA/OBIEE experience (implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and report development). * Hands-on experience implementing OBIA for Financials, Procurement & Spend, and Projects in an Oracle EBS R12 environment using ODI. * Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. xmvmafu * U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DHS suitability.
