Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ($180-$220/hr)

Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Position Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for delivering a full range of anesthesia care to a diverse Veteran population. This includes preoperative evaluations, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients intraoperatively, and providing post-anesthesia care in compliance with Joint Commission standards and VA policies. The CRNA is an integral part of the anesthesia care team, working in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
Anesthesia Administration: Deliver general and regional anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions to develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
* Intraoperative Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain optimal patient safety and comfort.
* Postoperative Care: Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and assessment of recovery progress.
* Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration and patient responses.

Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia educational program.
* Current, unrestricted RN and CRNA licensure.
* Certification: Active Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience, preferably in facilities with at least 100 acute care beds. Federal or VA experience is a plus.
