Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring accurate placement and securing of goods.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Assist with order picking and packing when required.
- Contribute to a positive and safe work culture.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven ability to safely handle materials and operate machinery.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including potential overtime.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety and operational excellence.
