Join our team in Omaha, Nebraska, as an Order Picker! We are looking for detail-oriented and motivated individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders from our warehouse. Your main responsibility will be to locate, pick, and stage products according to specified order lists, playing a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and precise order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess good spatial awareness, and have the physical stamina to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves considerable walking, reaching, and lifting. A basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial. Safety is paramount; you will be required to follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions match order requirements.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track picked items and update inventory status.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned picking zones.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting items up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse safety and the use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
