As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and staging materials within the facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that materials are handled safely and correctly, contributing to the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. You will operate various material handling equipment and perform tasks that require physical dexterity and strength. A strong adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stack, bundle, and move materials according to established procedures.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and location verification.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Adhere to strict PPE requirements at all times.
- Perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, forklift operator, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in material handling techniques.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant lifting and physical strength.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and PPE usage.
- Familiarity with general logistics operations is beneficial.
