Job Summary:
Become a key player in our logistics operations as a Material Handler in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is essential for the smooth flow of goods within our facility, involving the movement, organization, and preparation of materials. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory accuracy. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic warehouse environment. Your dedication to maintaining a safe workspace and adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification and training provided).
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping areas.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through diligent tracking.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all Safety regulations.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately as needed.
  • Support shipping and receiving functions as directed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning Safety and the use of PPE.
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Experience with manual and powered pallet jacks.
  • Capacity for physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Commitment to following all Safety protocols.
