Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Transport materials from receiving docks to storage areas, and from storage to staging or shipping areas.
- Ensure accurate placement and organization of inventory.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of all required PPE .
- Follow traffic patterns and safety guidelines within the warehouse to prevent accidents.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as stock counting and location verification.
- Support the overall Logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate material handling.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience in operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems. A strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and regulations is mandatory. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills. This position is vital for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our Indianapolis distribution center, contributing directly to our supply chain success.
