Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Chicago, Illinois! We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to support the smooth flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are efficiently moved, organized, and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety protocols. Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery is a plus. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming goods.
  • Pick and stage orders for outgoing shipments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
