Job Summary:
Join our vibrant fulfillment center in Richmond, Virginia, as a Picker/Packer. This dynamic role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, preparing them for transit, and contributing to the overall success of our distribution efforts. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
  • Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
  • Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Label packages for shipment according to carrier guidelines and company standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on outgoing orders before they are dispatched.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts, as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment and tools safely.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, or logistics role is advantageous.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity for regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance expectations.
  • Good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
