We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. This role is crucial to our daily warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, including strict compliance with safety regulations. You will perform pre-operation checks on forklifts, maintain a clean and organized work area, and assist with other warehouse duties as needed. Experience with various types of forklifts is a plus. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all employees to wear appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of goods.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Safely stack and store materials in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and record-keeping.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals in logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
