Are you a motivated individual seeking a Material Handler position in Miami, Florida? This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and staging various materials and products. You will operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time to support our logistics operations. Safety is paramount, and adherence to proper procedures is essential. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Move materials and products within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving as directed.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment (certification required for forklifts).
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring easy access to materials.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of mandated PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse management goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
