We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately documenting and verifying incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accounted for and processed efficiently. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting smooth warehouse operations. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely processing of all inbound materials. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with standard safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive lifting. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, is required to ensure a safe working environment. The fast-paced nature of our logistics operations demands a proactive and safety-conscious approach.
