About
Our logistics team in Boise, Idaho is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport goods to designated areas. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be expected to adhere to all company policies and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and contributing to the overall success of our distribution operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure optimal working condition and safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks, such as order picking and packing, as needed.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and best practices to prevent injuries.
- Support the logistics team in meeting operational deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
- High school diploma or GED.
